As part of our long-term goals, El Paso United FRC is focused on increasing the understanding of mental health by providing education on the signs of trauma-induced stress in themselves and others as well as removing the stigma surrounding mental illnesses.

UNITED & RESILIENT is designed to have honest conversations with local leaders, mental health specialists, and fellow El Pasoans who share their heartfelt stories and expertise.

Join us on the journey to long-term recovery as we begin to define what healing looks like for us - both as a community and as individuals.

OSCAR ARRIAGA, OUTREACH COORDINATOR
EL PASO UNITED FAMILY RESILIENCY CENTER

Oscar is originally an El Pasoan. He was born in Los Angeles but raised in El Paso. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master in Business Administration. Oscar's flair for the stage and television was discovered during his college years, and from that point on, he immersed himself in the performing arts.

Oscar has performed with countless theatre companies, acting in everything from Shakespeare to modern plays. He has also hosted talent shows, beauty contests, and a Spanish game show in Mexico in the early 2000s.

Oscar is proud to take the reins as the host of our United & Resilient podcast. He brings Communications and Marketing experience from working as a Media Specialist with the U.S. Census, assuring Texas and New Mexico had a complete count; Public Affairs with the City of El Paso Mass Transit department, and the nationally widespread debut of the El Paso Streetcar; and Weekend Weather Anchor and Assignments Desk at Univision News in El Paso.

When not working during the day, Oscar continues performing on stage in numerous classics and Spanish plays in the U.S. and Mexico.
